Originally Universal Studios had casted actor Eric Stoltz as Marty McFly in the 1984 BlockBuster Back To The Future. Despite being a decent actor, director Steven Spielberg noticed Stoltz’s lack of a natural comedic essence, and had to let him go. A decision that cost the studio $3Million.
