Evidence is pointing towards Ivanpah, the worlds largest solar farm located in California.
It generates enough energy to power 140,000 homes which is also enough to produce high levels of heat in turn burning birds to death.
The project is run by NRG Energy Inc, Googe Inc. and Brightsource Energy. This is the beginning for the United States in the solar industry.
The so-called desert farm is in Las Vegas, so the solar thermal panels are in constant contact with the sun, and with the advance thermal panels absorbing the rays, I understand the mystery behind the dead birds. I do prefer my birds cooked, per say, but that is certainly unfortunate.
Definitely very contradicting to the idea of eco-friendly but I am all for it, especially with Google behind the project, it can’t be that bad, right?
